As you are probably aware, there are many ways to market your product online. Due to the fact that hundreds of people claim to be "marketing experts", it gives you the illusion that marketing on the Internet is a piece of cake. The truth is, marketing your hard-earned product online is simple but not easy. In the beginning it takes work building your marketing foundation.
For starters y
ou'll need to think about how and what you want the world to see you as. Bottom line: what will be your brand or branding? You'll need to pay close attention and do some heavy keyword research before you begin strategizing your plan of attack. From here you'll begin the first stages of building your website, creating a squeeze page, a sales letter and a back-end product. Not to mention you'll need to think about payment processors such as a merchant account.
I think you're beginning to see a clearer picture of how Internet marketing takes quite a bit of work and effort on your part. And I haven't even begun talking about nitty gritty marketing principles yet.
While doing some extensive research on authors who have sold books online I found that the average person has sold just 30 books beyond their family and friends. In my opinion I feel the reason why book authors have such a low sales volume is due to not having their marketing foundation built on solid ground. Having a product is half the battle. Take the time to learn how to properly market your product online and watch your sales soar!
